Ours integrates physical movement into every clinical day, alongside CBT, DBT, somatic, and relapse prevention groups. Movement isn’t an amenity at True North — it’s a clinical intervention with research-backed effects on craving regulation, mood, sleep, and Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome.
Our therapists are licensed and credentialed plus NASM-certified trainers, Precision Nutrition coaches, or trauma-informed somatic movement specialists. The same clinical team that leads your clinical group also leads the strength or mobility block.

A Typical Residential Day at True North
In residential care, structure is around the clock. Physical activity is a powerful, research-supported intervention in addiction recovery, so structured physical exercise is intentionally integrated into your clinical day — not treated as an optional activity. Substance use can disrupt neurotransmitter systems, elevate stress responses, and worsen symptoms of Post-Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS). Our program uses movement as a therapeutic tool to support healing at a biological and emotional level.
